Aesthetics That Will Never Go Out Of Style

A poem

Jeans and a crisp white tee shirt,
a black cocktail dress,
a camel trench coat,
a bold red lip,
a properly trimmed goatee,
a custom-fitted suit,
beach houses with white couches,
leather armchairs,
big porches,
wooden dining room tables,
saying “thank you” to your waiter,
and your barista,
and your mother,
giving a good tip,
holding the door open for a stranger,
saying “please” when you’re asking someone
for something,
working hard for whatever that something is,
telling the ones how much you love them,
sharing your joy about the things you adore,
being honest about whatever it is that’s going on in your heart,
listening before you respond,
giving advice only when asked,
allowing people the space to be themselves,
leaving other people better than how you found them.
