Celebrate Changing Your Mind
Too often, I think we celebrate the
leaders who never change their minds,
when we should really be celebrating
the ones who do.
For whom would you trust with
your life — the human who has lived for
decades, and still pretends as if
they have done everything perfectly?
Or the one who has lived, and tried,
and failed, and succeeded, and seen
their mistakes and learned from them?
Great leadership is born from the
seeds of reflection, and introspection,
and the knowledge that comes
from knowing how to look upon
your past with a critical eye.
That’s how you move forward,
with dreams of what to do, anew.
For how sad would it be, to always
think the same, and never change?
You are allowed to change your dreams.
You are allowed to change your mind.
You are allowed to change, period.
Changing means you’re growing.
Growing means you’re learning.
Learning means you’re living.
