A poem for educators everywhere
There are days when teaching
is everything you dreamed about in
graduate school,
when the lessons go perfectly,
and the questions are thoughtful,
and the lightbulbs are bright,
and you know that the words you speak
will nestle into their hearts
for the rest of their days.
