Son Naps During Eclipse

Please report strange occurrences during the eclipse
says NASA,
and forever a good student,
I’d like to tell the authorities
that after two weeks of resisting
and fighting that midday nap,
our toddler decided to get some shut-eye
when we offered him the opportunity to rest;
he took a snooze while the moon
tried to make us remember it’s existence
and appreciate the sun
and slow our hustle long enough
