Spilled Milk

Last night, I spilled milk. It wasn’t just any milk — it was breast milk that I had spent far too many hours pumping. It was milk that I had worked for, milk that I had procured from my own body to feed my son.

And in a moment of haste, it splashed all over my kitchen floor.

It happened while I was cooking dinner.
