Make you feel like a watered plant,
hydrated, fed, appreciated, and put in direct sunlight.

People who will mention your name in a room full of opportunities,
even if you’re not sitting there right in front of them.

People who will be unafraid to tell you, “I love you,” “I appreciate you,” and also, “That hurt my feelings, too.”

Surround yourself with people who see you at your worst,
and your best, and love all of you, still.

People who will walk with you as you dance in the light,
and hold your hand as you sit with your shadows and the dark.

People who will keep their promises and make apologies
and grow with you as you journey on this road called life.
