The Smell Of Onions

My Nonna always smelled like onions. She smelled like onions, extra virgin olive oil, and tomatoes with a touch of garlic. She smelled of a kitchen that always made something that would feed your soul as much as it fed your belly — something of happiness, and heartiness, and a whole lot of love.
