In the way the sunlight fills your kitchen and makes everything feel as if it were dipped in honey / In the rhythm of weekly dinners with your family / in the way your child rejoices every time you walk into a room / as if they haven’t seen you five minutes before / There is something spectacular about how the smell of cookies in an oven will always make a home feel a little homier / how spaghetti and meatballs will not only feed your belly but your soul / how watching a movie on a Friday night from the comfort of your couch with the ones you love feels a little bit like heaven / There is nothing quite like curling into bed and reading a really, really good book after a long day / or crying to your mom about the stress you’re feeling / even when you’re an adult / There’s something wonderful about a good cup of coffee first thing in the morning / and a glass of water when you’re feelling particularly parched / and the way your people somehow manage to send you a message to make you laugh exactly when you need it.
